Word Finder – Find All Words From Your Letters Instantly Free

Discover every valid word hidden in your set of letters instantly with FlickTool’s free Jungle Word Explorer. Enter your available letters, apply optional filters for starting letter, ending letter, or word length, and get a full sorted list of all possible words — with built-in helpers for Scrabble, Words With Friends, Crossword, and Anagram solving.

Why a Word Finder Changes the Game

Whether you are stuck on a crossword clue, holding a difficult tile rack in Scrabble, or solving an anagram puzzle, the challenge is always the same — your brain can only scan so many permutations before giving up. The number of possible letter arrangements grows exponentially with each additional letter. Seven letters produce over 5,000 possible arrangements, most of which your mind dismisses before fully exploring.

A word finder eliminates that bottleneck entirely. Instead of mentally shuffling tiles, you enter the letters once and receive every valid dictionary word they can form — sorted, filtered, and ready to use in seconds. The difference between winning and losing a word game often comes down to finding that one 6-letter word nobody else spotted.

How to Use the Word Finder

Finding words from your letters takes under 10 seconds:

  1. Enter your letters in the Your Letters field — type them separated by commas or as a continuous string (e.g. A,B,C or ABC)
  2. Apply optional filters to narrow results:
    • Starts With — enter a letter or letters to return only words beginning with that sequence
    • Ends With — enter a letter or letters to return only words ending with that sequence
    • Length — enter a number to return only words of exactly that length
  3. Click Explore Words to run the search and display all matching valid words
  4. Browse your results in the Discovered Words panel — the word count updates at the top
  5. Sort results using the Sort By dropdown — Length short to long, Length long to short, A-Z, or Z-A
  6. Click Load More if there are additional results beyond the initial display
  7. Click Copy Words to copy the full word list to your clipboard
  8. Click Download to save your word list as a file
  9. Click Clear to reset all inputs and start a new search

Game Helper Modes

Clicking any of the four game helper buttons loads tips and strategies tailored specifically to that game’s rules and scoring system:

Scrabble Helper

Scrabble scores each letter differently — Q and Z score 10 points each while vowels score only 1. The Scrabble Helper surfaces the highest-scoring valid words from your tiles, prioritizing longer words and high-value letter combinations. Double and triple word squares make longer words disproportionately valuable, so finding 6 and 7-letter plays from your rack matters far more than playing multiple short words.

Words With Friends Helper

Words With Friends uses a different board layout and tile distribution than Scrabble, with different letter values and bonus square positions. The Words With Friends helper identifies valid plays under that game’s specific dictionary and scoring rules, which differ enough from Scrabble that separate optimization is genuinely useful.

Crossword Solver

Crossword solving typically involves partial information — you know the word length and one or more letters at fixed positions. Using the Starts With, Ends With, and Length filters together replicates this constraint pattern. Enter the known letters in their correct filter fields, set the exact length, and the results show only words matching all three conditions simultaneously.

Anagram Solver

An anagram uses every letter in a set exactly once to form a new word. Enter your complete letter set, leave the length filter blank, and sort results by length descending — the longest results at the top are your full anagram solutions. Shorter results show valid partial anagrams using subsets of your letters.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What dictionary does the word finder use?

Ans. The word finder matches against a standard English word dictionary covering common valid words used across major word games and puzzles. Both everyday vocabulary and less common valid game words are included to give complete results for puzzle and game use cases.

2. Does the Starts With filter work alongside the Ends With filter?

Ans. Yes. All three filters — Starts With, Ends With, and Length — can be applied simultaneously. Results show only words that satisfy every active filter at once. This is particularly useful for crossword solving where you know the first letter, last letter, and exact word length from the puzzle grid.

3. How many letters can I enter at once?

Ans. The input accepts any number of letters. For word games like Scrabble or Words With Friends you would typically enter 7 tiles, but entering more letters — such as 10 or 12 — works for crossword and anagram use cases where longer letter sets are common.

4. Can I use the word finder for other languages?

Ans. The current word finder operates on an English dictionary. Enter English letters for accurate results. Non-English characters or letter combinations outside the English alphabet will not match dictionary entries.

5. What is the difference between Copy Words and Download?

Ans. Copy Words copies the complete word list to your clipboard so you can paste it directly into a document, note, or message. Download saves the word list as a text file to your device — useful for keeping a permanent offline record or sharing the list with someone else.
